The Pit Project went from a casual idea while walking the dogs with my mom to an overwhelming reality of dreams coming to life. We work out of our home office and all designs are created by my mom and I, with a little wine and coffee inspiration of course. If you love your dogs as much as we love ours you have come to the right place!

We first rescued Lotus at 9 weeks old from her foster momma in NH. She is now a 70 lb., spunky, sweet as pie, zoomie queen who is quite famous around town at the bank, Home Depot, Dunkin’ Donuts, and around the beaches and restaurants on The Cape. After a year and a half of being the only child we stumbled on a Facebook post from her rescue looking to rehome her sister from another litter. Long story short, Koda is quite comfy with her sister on the couch next to me as I type. Lotus and Koda inspire us to fight for those who have a bark not a voice. They have taught us more than we could ever teach them. We have learned what it’s like to rescue, to be patient, to give grace, to fight breed discrimination, and advocate for our pit babes.

Ultimately we knew we wanted to make a difference for dogs like our two girls and donate 10% of our profits to support Dawgs Fight Back, the rescue they were adopted from.

Thank YOU for making a difference.

Kim is best described as animal obsessed. “Dog obsessed” wouldn't begin to describe Kim’s compassion for all creatures. This means stopping traffic to save a turtle, rescuing bees from the pool, watching for frogs in the road on rainy days, and even giving the house spider a second chance and releasing it outside. Needless to say Kim has found her perfect place in life at the animal hospital she manages. Puppy snuggles makes working a whole lot easier. Kim spends her free time hiking with Juliette and the dogs, camping, exploring new restaurants with her husband John, shopping at home goods, rooting for the Patriots, enjoying a glass of wine, or hosting her infamous family parties. Kim simply describes herself as a dog person, she says “Whether it’s a rainy day at home, trip to the beach, morning coffee run, or walk around the block it’s better with your dog.”

Juliette is a true “New Englander”, born and raised in Massachusetts. When she is not at her office job you can find her snuggling with her cats, watching the Bruins with her husband hitting up local coffee shops, spending summers on the cape, skiing in Maine, soaking up the sun on tropical vacations, or onto her next traveling adventure. Juliette loves anything adventurous and would rather be zip lining, on a roller coaster, four wheeling, rock climbing, at the trampoline park, or jet skiing. Anyone who knows her would describe her as half business and half hilarious. Although she considers herself a “dog person” she is quite content with her two, full of trouble, Siamese kittens Yeti and Stitch. Growing up around dogs she has always had a special place in her heart. But one particular velvet hippo who stole it was Lotus. First Lotus, then Koda. She describes the greatest feeling as “looking into the eyes of a dog, seeing your best friend, and knowing you rescued them; you gave them the life they deserve.”
